In-person counselling in Nelson
Meeting in person offers a dedicated space away from everyday demands. I see individual clients in Nelson, British Columbia, through my practice, Valhalla Therapy.
Use the booking page to view appointment options. You will receive an email confirming the appointment location and arrival details before your visit.
Online counselling in BC and across Canada
Online appointments offer a way to meet from a private space without travelling to Nelson. I work with individuals online throughout British Columbia and across Canada.
For an online session, choose somewhere you can speak freely and use a reliable internet connection. Headphones may help with privacy. If you are unsure about the practical arrangements, raise your questions before the appointment.
Choosing the right appointment
Appointments are booked through Valhalla Therapy. Review the appointment type, current fee and session length before confirming your booking. For your first session choose "Initial Individual Session" and specify either online or in-person.
Valhalla Therapy is my counselling practice, and the name you will see when booking and on billing.
Book a sessionFees, cancellation and insurance
Fees for a standard 50-minute session are $150. Cancellation notification is required 24 hours in advance or full session fees are charged. If you have extended health benefits, ask your insurer about RCC or CCC coverage. You will receive an official receipt for submission to your insurer.
Coverage depends on the insurer and plan; it is not guaranteed by booking a session.
Before you book
You do not need to share a detailed account of your experience to take the first step. Save personal clinical information for the appropriate intake process and your sessions.
The website and booking system are not emergency services. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
Making room for your questions
You may want to understand how counselling works, whether the approach feels like a fit, or what to bring to a first meeting. Most of that information is on this site. You can also email me with additional questions, or you can bring those questions to your first session.
If you will be attending from a different province or country while travelling, discuss this before your session so the arrangements can be confirmed.
